GLENS FALLS – After nearly 40 years of news reporting, Christopher Mele has shifted from telling the news to telling fiction, with his debut novel, “Goodwill’s Secrets.”
Mele says that transition to narrative writing was no easy feat.
“It’s a brain transplant because I was a newsman,” Mele said. “You’re trafficking in nonfiction.”
Because of his extensive history with documenting current events through concrete evidence and verifiable information, Mele says the idea of writing fiction was “preposterous.”
